nnual two-day Domestic Violence 101 (DV101) Training. DV101 is the Coalit
ion’s signature training event and attracts a multidisciplinary audience f
rom across the state. Participants typically include domestic violence se
rvice providers\, nonprofit organizations\, law enforcement agencies\, and
state employees working on issues ranging from behavioral health services
to human resources to the criminal justice system. DV101 provides an ove
rview of the dynamics and prevalence of domestic violence\, and teaches pa
rticipants effective advocacy skills that support safety and empowerment a
cross systems. \n\nTopics covered during the training include:\n- History
& Culture of Domestic Violence\n- Dynamics of Abusive Relationships\n- Em
powerment Advocacy\n- Risk Assessment\n- Safety Planning\n- Community Reso
urces\n- Criminal Justice and Civil Justice Systems\n- Protection from Abu
se Orders\n- Trauma-Informed Services\n- Prevention & Social Change\n\n
