Foundations of DV Advocacy: Planning for Safety
Safety planning is one of the most critical and essential services we can offer to victims/survivors of domestic violence. This introductory training will discuss when and how to develop safety plans with victims/survivors. Participants will learn how to handle disclosures of abuse, how they can assess for danger and safety of their service recipients, and strategies for keeping victims/survivors safer. Participants will also explore how confidentiality factors into safety planning, and identify tools and resources for victims/survivors to use.
